Who says you can't go home?

I was missing home quite a bit this weekend. Between the talks of my sister moving back in August(yes, for those of you that haven't heard, she is moving back and Fab will soon follow) and all of the car drama this past week, it has really made me want to be home with my mom and dad (my mom also had to put our two cats down last week, so I know that's been hard on her and she could use some company.)Being home seems far more appealing than being in the back lot of West Campus by myself with the woodchucks. Anyway, I have decided that the next chance I get to go home won't be until the last weekend in July when I have to go to Rochester for Ashley and Mark's wedding (ahh super excited about that!)...so I am looking forward to that already.

I spent this weekend cleaning the apartment, attempting to make a budget, and just relaxing...but a few things worth documenting did happen:

1. I got Crumple back. But unfortunately when I went to pick Calvin up at the airport Saturday night, the parking attendant told me I had a headlight out. FAIL!

2. I baked a lot- and by bake I mean made no-bake desserts :-) mmmm Strawberry Creme Squares and Chocolate Candy Bar Pie (I was supposed to bring the chocolate pie to a party I was going to, I didn't end up going so now I have no idea what I am going to do with it!!)

3. I made homemade chicken noodle soup (my mom's recipe) because I was homesick :-( I didn't feel good all day today and I was hoping soup would help!

4. I went for a little joyride (what I always do when I want to clear my head) and stumbled across Greek Peak! I've been here for 4 years and that's the first time I've ever been out there.

Those were my adventures for the weekend. Nothing too exciting. I am sad that I missed out on a BBQ/party today because I wasn't feeling well (sorry Darci!)

Let's hope this week proves to be a better, less stressful week than last week! Then I will be sure to have some funny stories to share!
