How to say goodbye....

Picture #13

Tonight's post begins with a picture of my dinner. It satisfies not only the 'new recipe/week' item on my 101 list (the fresh veggie medley was sauteed in a way I have never done before!!) but also my craving for a big, juicy burger and beer. Unfortunately, I got a little thirsty before my dinner was ready, hence the 1/3 missing from the top of the glass :-p Anyway, I have had what some would say a rather frustrating and stressful week.

Why was my week stressful you ask? Well, my car has been giving me some problems lately. After getting hit at an intersection about 2 months ago, we have found that the back end of my car is not as it should be. This Tuesday I finally got to the point where I was too nervous and scared to drive my car so I took it to a local shop in Cortland. Come to find out, the back axle is bent, therefore that needs replaced along with two new tires. I have been without my car for 2 1/2 days now and lucky for me Darci and Josh have been amazing in letting me borrow one of their cars. When it comes to borrowing, I'm not very good at it- I don't like to put people out. But, fortunately for me, they have been very understanding and amazing in easing my worry about how I'm going to get back and forth to work. The mechanic said it should be ready in a few days...I hope that means by the end of the work day tomorrow it'll be finished.

The other part of this story is the fact that I am trying to find a way to purchase a new car. Crumple has been good to me, but it's about time we retire her to either a new owner or a junk yard. I am on the hunt for either a pretty new used car or a new car. Figuring out where to get it, what to get, and how to get it seems to be a bigger decision than I had imagined. Hopefully we will figure something out soon so I can stop worrying about my car and start getting ready for my job that starts in less than a month!

Just a little bump in the road...hopefully soon we will be figuring out how to say goodbye to Crumple and hello to a more dependable little gem I can call my own! :-p

Until then...
