Lay in the grass and make cloud figures. check!

Today was a pretty good day. This morning I was able to meet with the necessary people to drop my graduate classes so I could officially defer my enrollment until next year should I decide to pursue my Master's in Community Health. When I got home from work Ashley, Mark, and Cathryn picked me up so we could start loading up their stuff and moving it to their apartment before they leave for the wedding/honeymoon. I didn't get home until almost 9 because after making several trips we decided to take a break at the old track. We laid in the grass and made cloud figures! An item on my 101 list that I can now cross off. I must say, I was pretty creative and everyone else found some good shapes too! It was a lot of fun. That was then followed by a game of ultimate frisbee before we decided to call it a day. I am e.x.h.a.u.s.t.e.d. I'm so glad I was able to help them out and hang out for a little while. It broke up the after work routine I have fallen into that is very quickly getting old. Below is a picture that Cathryn snapped while we were pointing out shapes.

When I got home, I decided it was probably a good idea to close my blinds since I have neighbors now (the Jets folks are in town.) They've seen me coming in and out so they too are aware that they have neighbors. Not that I don't trust the "peeping Toms" to mind their business, but I thought I would be better safe than sorry. SO, as I was closing my blinds this is what I saw...

After nearly tripping over a chair and nearly losing my breath, I got my camera so I could document how absolutely DISGUSTING spiders are and to share with you a little secret: I am deathly afraid of them! Of all things, a spider is by far the worst image I could have in my mind as I get ready to crawl into bed. I can only imagine how long it will take me to fall asleep because any air that moves across my legs or hair that tickles my arm will cause me to shoot up out of my bed and check the sheets. Ew. The very thought of any of it gives me the chills already.

Someone please come kill it for me.
