Pop.Lock.and Scrub it.

Brace yourself for this post. Do not read after eating. Do not read if you have a natural gag reflex (like me) when feet are even mentioned in conversation. This.is.graphic.

Okay, so 2 years of very little attention other than a few coats of paint can really getchya in trouble at the nail salon. And I quote, "you have a lot of skin!" In feet terms, apparently that's a really bad thing. It's been 2 years since my feet have set foot in a salon and tonight's visit has turned my attention to possibly making a habit of at least taking better care of them at home. From the outsider's perspective, they really aren't that bad. But in a professional's opinion, my feet are disgusting apparently...and something tells me I would not have liked what they were saying if I could understand them either.

Darci and I went to get pedicures before her and Josh take off for paradise tomorrow. I for one know that my feet suffer tremendously in the area of neglect and abuse. I'm farely active and enjoy wearing flip flops all.the.time. so if my feet could talk they would probably have a few choice words with me. Darci just got done running in the Boilermaker last weekend and with that plus the training comes some rather unusual blisters so much so, that at one point the lady attending to her needs said "gross" when she was handling Darci's pretty little piggies. But to her credit, at least she pays a little bit of attention to her feet at home because they weren't nearly as verbally abusive to her as they were to me!

Anyway, this experience was interesting and definitely worthy of a post of the next reason...we got yelled at for taking a phone out to capture a picture of this darling experience. Think about that one for a minute...no pictures allowed in the salon?....I'll leave you to create your own conclusion...

When all is said and done, I'm glad we went and my nails look great..for now. But I think we are going to try to save up so our next outing will be to a nice salon that allows pictures :-p

A picture of the final product. Ignore the bug bites- still recovering from my weekend in the mountains :-p

Until next time, scrub a dub dub!
